We love these markers. We use them for or menu board, bc our prices may change with our produce and meat prices. We also have a food truck, so we use them to create our menu. They glide easy. They are vibrant and eye catching. We will continue to use this brand. This are a great size for writing on larger surfaces and the colors are very bright.Reversible tip switches from point to chisel. Colors are easy to clean, but yellow and white barely show up.They are like paint pens for your chalkboard! I have a chalkboard wall, and was getting pretty sick of your standard chalky pastel colors, so I was excited to see these, and surprised at how well they work! I guess you can call them chalk, but they seem more like paint pens. You shake the liquid into a soft tip and then draw on your board- they are smoother and more even than most paint pens I have encountered. Best of all, the colors are bright and vibrant! It’s like liquid at first but isn’t drippy and dries fast. The package has a few extra pen tips and an eraser sponge, though I’m sure you could use any sponge to erase with. When I tested the eraser (wet), it was instantaneous and complete, but the markers do come with a warning that they are only meant for non-porous surfaces - in other words, don’t use them on a surface that could absorb the ink or you could be left with shadows when you try to erase. If you plan to erase quickly that is probably less of an issue. Anyway, very cool purchase - I’m excited to make some brighter and more fun artwork on my wall!Don't recall the brand, but I bought another and they simply did not work well. These do appear to be bright and solid. I use them on a black glass board, not a chalk board. Everything cleans easily from these with a touch of water, so I can't speak to how well they clean from a chalk board. I also tried one on a traditional white board. They left the same traces behind that a dry erase does. It's only been a few days, so can't speak to whether or not these will dry out in time (others have). Very happy and will reorder when I use these up.I ordered the set of 8 originally. The colors were bold, easy to clean. Only one issue, the were dripping. So I didn't even have to contact the company. I already had an email from them asking about the product quality. I sent an email telling them my issue. They instantly turned around and sent me the 12 pack at no cost, and had it shipped to me within a couple of days! Wow! It was so great to work with a fantastic company, and I have no issues with these new markers! I am a private music teacher, so I travel with my markers and white board. I teach small classes and private lessons. I also use them at home on my chalkboard calendar. They don't have the awful chemical smell like dry erase markers, and they don't leave a dusty mess like chalk. It's the perfect product! It's easy to just wipe away. I would definitely recommend these to anyone. They're so versatile. I'm excited to draw window displays for the holidays! I'm even more excited to see what new products this company has coming out!I used these markers to make 30+ of my own wedding chalkboard signs on varying surfaces. The markers worked on all surfaces, though some colors were much easier to write with and not all markers were the same level of brightness and opacity. My biggest difficulty with the markers at first was remembering to keep the tip capped as soon as I stopped writing. When uncapped, the ink dries extremely quickly and builds a layer on the marker surface which messes up the flow. This is fixed easily by scraping off the dried surface with a paper towel, though it's an annoyance.A couple of the colors - red and orange - never seemed to write smoothly no matter how much I shook the marker or cleaned the tip. You can see in the attached photo that the lines streak. Another caveat is that ink can come out in bursts if you shake too much, leaving a puddle on your work. I had to re-do a few sections due to this. Two colors - pink and purple - were very sheer, requiring multiple re-tracing of my lines. The markers definitely get harder to erase the longer the ink sits on the chalkboard surface. After two days, I found the ink to leave a permanent faint line no matter how hard I scrubbed. On the plus side, the colors have great lasting power and stay vibrant for over a month. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend using these for multi-use chalkboards.I LOVE this product. First, the customer service is AMAZING! I purchased this set and as soon as I got them I wanted to use them for an Easter Chalkboard. I could not get the green marker to work. I tried shaking it, etc. I emailed the company and they immediately sent me a brand new SET of markers. The green worked in the second set. I like the way they have 2 tips you can use and there are also some replacement tips in the box.UPDATE: I did my chalkboard for Easter. It was on the board for a little over a month. I just tried to get it off and it wouldn't come off. I tried water and clorox wipes. Then I read where someone tried vinegar and a magic eraser and with a little power it came off just fine. I am not blaming the markers, because the board is from Kirklands and it's entirely possible it's porous. Just thought i'd give advice for anyone trying to get it off.
